If you are in a search of weight loss program then you must have heard about quick-weight-loss or fad diets. Fad diet is a contradictory one. Most of nutritionists and dietitians consider it as a myth and nothing more than that.

Nevertheless fad diets exist, and it means that they help people get rid of overweight and do it quickly. Following a fad diet supposes refusing from some certain foods which are considered inappropriate for eating them at all, and are even viewed as harmful.

Opponents of this type of diets treat them as something unnatural, related to anorexia, and at no case helpful for quick weight loss. Moreover parents who make their children follow this diet can be nailed on charge because it is considered as a form of child abuse.

There is a certain category of people who neither support nor deny fad diets - they just enjoy their silliness... That' right! But they also think that they are useless for weight loss.

Loosing weight is one the biggest health concerns people are facing these days. In fact obesity has no been classified as not a condition but a disease. That said, one of the biggest questions people ask is how much weight should I loose and how fast.

Many doctors warn patients about the dangers of loosing weight too fast and there are correct in their concern. From the cabbage soup diets, to the low carbohydrate high protein diets, some of the worst things have been classified as healthy. While there have been cases of people naturally loosing over 30 pounds in one month, this is not the norm and it greatly depends on how much weight the person has.

The key to proper weight loss is not to force it but to allow the body to correct itself. If on the wrong diet the body can gain weight, the opposite is true. The human body is a marvelous thing and it is built in such a way that with a proper diet and exercise in place natural weight loss will occur overtime.

Of course there are things you can do to help it such as going on a raw food diet for a few months, or consuming more vegetable juices to help flush out the system. But one thing you should remember is that there is no alternative to a proper lifestyle just not diet.
